Green Governance Nepal (GGN) will implement activities related to reducing human-wildlife conflict, especially leopards and monkeys, through piloting of the latest technologies. GGN proposes to pilot early detection and warning systems for leopard to reduce human-leopard conflict, promote the upgrading of livestock coral to make it predator-proof, piloting the effectiveness of acoustic tools to reduce human-monkey conflict and enhance awareness among local people targeting behavior change and human wildlife conflict management. Project sites are ward no. 31 and 32 of Pokhara Metropolitan City.
Great initiative from the GGN team. much Appreciated…………….I am from the Madhyabindu-7, Nawalparasi and my home town has became the hotspot for the tIger-human and leopard-human conflict. Just before 3 days , a leopard on ward no;8 of madhyabindu municipality had attacked 9 people and later it was killed by the villagers by chasing. It would have been better if we could do something on those area too.
Great. Please contact at arjun.bhusal@ggnepal.org.np
